Mark O’Neal Speight, MD

Dr. Speight is a board certified family physician who became interested in nutritional and environmental influences on illness. This effort to solve patient problems led to the utilization of nutraceutical formulations to optimize circulating stem cell counts in hopes of repairing damaged tissues.

Through collaborative efforts with other researchers the innovative application of these nutraceuticals are now being evaluated in a safety and efficacy trial for those with neurodegenerative and traumatic brain injured patients. A month long pretreatment nutritional protocol is applied followed by isolation of circulating stem cells from the patient’s blood. These cells are then activated and returned to the patient in hopes of repairing damaged tissues. The activation process is thought to synchronize the cells to work in concert to better repair injured tissue. If you have any interest in being considered for the trial, please contact us.

We are currently accepting patients with multiple sclerosis, chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy, traumatic brain injured patients, partial spinal cord injuries ( non-severed cord), Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s Disease.

Henry Young, PhD

Professor Henry Young is a tenured Professor at Mercer School of Medicine where he has spent the last 30 years teaching anatomy to medical students and pursuing his research in stem cell technologies.

Having recently retired, his work spans four decades and includes the isolation and characterization of stem cells in humans and many animal models. A discoverer of totipotent stem cells, he developed the original isolation protocols for many stem cell lines.

We are privileged to work with him as a consultant to Research Designs LLC in this IRB approved study.
